Popular crossdresser Idris Okuneye, better known as Bobrisky, has revealed that recent events have led him to contemplate suicide, a thought he insists had never crossed his mind until now.

Bobrisky made the disclosure while addressing the toll negative actions from others have taken on his mental health.

The revelation follows a video released by social media influencer Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, on Tuesday.

In the viral clip, Bobrisky allegedly admitted to bribing officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) with N15 million to dismiss money laundering charges against him.

The video has sparked reactions, pushing Bobrisky into the spotlight once again.

Despite the backlash, Bobrisky maintains that people’s efforts to tear others down have contributed to his distress, though he stopped short of directly addressing the bribery allegation in his recent comments.

The video also contained a claim that renowned human rights lawyer Femi Falana (SAN) and his son, Folarin Falana, better known as Falza, had demanded N10 million to secure a presidential pardon for Bobrisky.

Both Femi Falana and Falz in separate letters from their lawyers on Wednesday demanded a retraction of the allegations and a public apology from VeryDarkMan within 24 hours.

Bobrisky regained his freedom on August 5, 2024, after spending six months in prison for abusing the naira by spraying it at a party.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Bobrisky described the viral recording as “fake,” insisting that he did not pay any money to the anti-graft agency.

Bobrisky further clarified that he served his full prison term and emphasized that he is not seeking sympathy but understanding and support.

“I have never in my life thought about suicide in my life but now is coming to my head seeing what human being are doing to their fellow human just in d name you want to bring them down by force or because you don’t like them,” she wrote.

“I don’t need no sympathy from anyone. People i might have need sympathy from are my late parent. But who will fight for you? Friends? HATERS YOU WON,” he wrote.
