In Gusau, the capital of Zamfara State, a truck accident on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at approximately 8:30 a.m. claimed the lives of a couple and their four children.

The victims were riding a motorcycle when the truck driver, according to eyewitness accounts, struck them by accident while reversing. The family of six lost their lives in the incident, and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) personnel subsequently found their bodies.
Following the collision, the truck driver left the scene, which prompted officials to start looking for him.
A member of the Yoruba community in Gusau named Reedwan Abdulazeez verified the sad event on Facebook, claiming that the victims were buried on Sunday night in accordance with Islamic customs. Security specialist Zagazola Makama affirmed the accident’s specifics as well.
