Obasanjo, Shettima, Atiku attend wedding of Kwankwaso’s daughter in Kano

Obasanjo, Shettima, Atiku

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Vice-President Kashim Shettima were among the dignitaries who attended the wedding of Aishatu, daughter of Rabiu Kwankwaso, former governor of Kano.

The wedding fatiha was held on Saturday at the palace of Muhammadu Sanusi, the Emir of Kano.

Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the 2023 elections, gave his daughter’s hand in marriage to Fahad, the son of Dahiru Mangal, the chairman of Max Airline.

The event united several governors, senators, ministers, business leaders, and traditional and religious leaders across the country.
Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar and ex-Senate President Bukola Saraki were also among the top politicians present at the occasion.

Former governors, such as Ahmed Makarfi (Kaduna), Adamu Aliero (Kebbi), Lucky Igbinedion (Edo), Mahamud Shinkafi (Zamfara), Isah Yuguda (Bauchi), Victor Attah (Akwa Ibom), and Achike Udenwa (Imo), graced the wedding ceremony.

Abdul Ningi, senator representing Bauchi central, Abdulaziz Yari, senator representing Zamfara west, Dino Melaye, former Kogi lawmaker; and Hamza Al-Mustapha, the chief security officer to the late Sani Abacha, the former head of state, were also in attendance.
