Abia's Ihechiowa scholars lauds school renovation

T Y Danjuma Foundation has renovated dilapidated classroom building at Umunnabuo Community Primary School Ihechiowa in Arochukwu local Government Area of Abia State.

The project which was attracted through an Indigene, Kalu Nnukwu Kalu, Was part of his Educational initiatives. towards community development.

Speaking on the gesture, the host and pioneer President, Ihechiowa Students and Scholars Forum, Associate Professor Uwaoma Uche, commended the foundation for renovation of the community school

Recall that the forum had Nnukwu Kalu,as its first Speaker since it featured other prominent scholars such as Dr Okwuagwu okuu of Abia State University Uturu, Dr. Uko Ofe of Veritas University Abuja, Dr Sam Ogbaa of Federal University of Technology Owerri, Dr. Njideka Nto from Dubai and Dr. Mrs Chinyere Ulekwu Okoro of the University of Calabar.

The Speakers have been speaking on topical issues on Education, Town planning, Health care and Agriculture, as it affects the development indices of the ihechiowa Arochukwu people.

Dr. Uwaoma Uche, who is the initiator of the forum commends the facilitators and called other spirited individuals to give back to the community and assist government in positive and productive rural development initiatives.

However, while sincerely appreciating T. Y Danjuma Foundation on behalf of the Executive of the Umuchiakuma Development Union, UDU, the Ezeogo in-Council and the entire Odumchiakuma Autonomous Community for the kind gesture, in a letter jointly signed by Comrade Innocent Ndu Offia, Arch. Daniel Ikeme and Mr. Sampson John Ikpe, and made available to newsmen, in Umuahia, opined that the renovation will no doubt go a long way in increasing School enrollment and attendance in the village and its environs.
