President Muhammadu Buhari has commended the collaboration between Nigeria Security Agencies on the operations against the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu and the Sole Yoruba Activist, Sunday Igboho.
The president also send a strong warning to those calling for secession, he said, “Any attempts to build armoury coupled with plans either subtle or expressed to undermine Nigeria’s unity as a nation will not be condoned or tolerated.”
He insisted that his directives to Security Operatives regarding anyone seen or in possession of arms, particularly AK-47 are clear enough and require no further clarification.
President Muhammadu Buhari’s Spokesman, Garba Shehu made the disclosure.
He further added that Nigeria Security Services and Intelligence executed with great synchronism to apprehend individuals who had inflicted pain and hardships on fellow citizens by their secession agendas.
He revealed that the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is responsible for the violent and incessant attacks, heavily concentrated in the South-East, especially against INEC offices, Law Enforcement Agents and other several Government assets.
He also claimed that Sunday Igboho’s seditious utterances and antics in the public, was a disguised as he has been conducting acts of terror under the guise of protecting fellow kinsmen.
