The Australia nightclub shooting which occurred in Melbourne, has left one dead and fours others injured. While the Australia nightclub shooting at the Love Machine venue is not thought to be terror related, however investigators are likely to examine links to a motorcycle gang. Though mass shootings in Australia are rare as the country overhauled its gun laws after 35 people were shot dead in Port Arthur, Tasmania in 1996, the country saw its worst incident since then last year after seven members of the same family died in a murder-suicide.
Police said shots were fired from a car into a crowd standing outside the two-story Love Machine club, hitting three security guards at the nightclub and one patron. Police appealed for anyone with video footage or information to come forward. They have made no arrests so far.The recent shooting had two men, aged 29 and 50, hospitalised with non-life threatening injuries. One of those in a serious condition is aged 28, but no details about the fourth victim has been released. The police however later confirmed that one man, 37 years old, had died.
