The Governor of Imo State Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodimma has received the former President Goodluck Jonathan and his team at the Sam Mbakwe expanded Excos chambers today.
While receiving the august visitor, Gov. Hope Uzodimma appreciated the gesture of calling on him and described former President Jonathan as a man of peace and a beacon of good governance.
He added that the former President’s visit to imo state though not on a working visit is shows his love for the state and a partner in progress. He further assured him of the warm reception extended to him by imolites and appealed that from time to time the former President should visit the state and access the level of development going on by his administration.
In his reaction, Former President Goodluck Jonathan expressed his happiness over the warm reception and eulogized the Governor for his tremendous efforts in changing the narratives of the state when it comes to development.
He charged the governor to remain unwavering in his determination towards the development of the state and encouraged politicians in the state to eschew politics of hate but help the governor in making the state a better place for them all.
Former President Goodluck Jonathan and his entourage are in the state to commission a private medical facility project attracted to the state by Rev. Fr. Kenny Dumka.
