Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir spoke about the current insecurity situatione, The scholar said that everything that is happening today, is not as bad as yesterday.
Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir, the chairman of Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’a Waikamatis Sunnah, has lauded Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari.
He said despite the security challenges facing the current administration, Muhammadu Buhari had surpassed all previous leaders.
Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir made the remarks at the National Quranic Competition held in Gombe.
He said “we are facing major insecurity problems in the country, but I believe the situation is not worse than before.”
Sani Yahaya Jingir clarified, “No matter how bad it is, yesterday is not better than today.”
I’m not saying everything is fine, but security has improved. ” The scholar went on to explain.
Apparently the cleric was referring to the height of the Boko Haram crisis, which was marred by a series of bombings.
Sheikh Jingir, has called on the President to change his approach to fighting terrorists and militants who have plagued Nigeria, for the sake of peace.
This is not the first time the federal government has been advised to change its tactics, leading to calls for the removal of leaders and security chiefs.
Earlier this year, the Plateau State Police summoned the chairman of the JIBWIS Scholar’s Supreme Council for questioning.
Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir was indicted for disobeying a state order banning all public gatherings to avoid contracting the coronavirus.
Sheikh Jingir disobeyed the order to lead the prayers, but later changed his mind.
