The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Gombe Zonal office, has arrested an Ile-Ife, Osun state Apostolic Church Pastor Gbenga Moses Adesoju, in connection with an N12.7m Yahoo Yahoo fraud.
Adesoju was arrested with one Adebayo Olawale of Fashina Road, also in Ile-Ife for defrauding one Umar Hayatu of Lafiya quarters, Dukku Local Government Area of Gombe State.
The duo was apprehended in Ile Ife following a petition jointly written by the relatives of Umar Hayatu.
The petitioners alleged that the suspects conspired and defrauded the victim via social media platforms and phone calls under the pretense that he won a car, some expensive phones, and an offer of employment into a juicy position.
With these charges pastor, Gbenga Adesoju might be charged to court despite his vulnerable reputation as a pastor.
And with this act of his as a public figure to people, he’s indeed a disgrace to his church members, groups, friends, colleagues, fellow pastors, and families.
And due to his mandatory rate of scam by involving such a vulnerable indigen, there might be charges.
And comprising that a huge amount of fraud might be used as an exhibit in the court.
Therefore, this has left Nigerian with a lot of questions. Many say the never believed he could set up this misconduct of acts despite his standards as a pastor. What do you think.
