Former African Democratic Congress (ADC) house of assembly candidate Nkanu-East constituency Hon Ambassador David C. Ani, has called for the resignation of Enugu State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, saying that the state of insecurity in the state shows that there is no active government in power.
In a statement send to us on Sunday, he also called for the declaration of a state of emergency on security as he noted that the state is collapsing under the government
“If there is government, there will be no blood letting. The government has collapsed. If it is elsewhere, Ugwuanyi would have resigned. He should resign,” he said, adding: “He has failed. The honourable path is for him to resign and allow others to do the job.”
David Ani added that: “Between June and now, the security situation in the state has gone from bad to worse forcing concerned patriotic leaders to voice out alarmingly to governor Ugwuanyi that the state is collapsing under his watch.
