Exco Decies: Imo State Govt To Enforce The Policy Of No Work No Pay For All Workers In The State

-GOV. UZODIMMA TO MARK HIS 1 YEAR IN OFFICE ON 15TH FEBRUARY WITH MASSIVE PROJECTS COMMISSIONING

The Imo State Government has reiterated to all Civil and Public workers in the state, including IMSUTH staff that have been on strike endlessly, of the Policy of “No Work, No Pay” as it will definitely apply to anyone who fails to report to work fully.

The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Declan Emelumba disclosed this decision while speaking to the Government House Journalists.

The Honorable Commissioner, Emelumba disclosed that in order to check the compliance of workers and the number of times they reported to work, they have decided to apply the use of clock-in and clock-out mechanism.

He warned that the situation was no longer acceptable to the Government as council has decided that any staff who refuses to report to work will forfeit his or her salary for the months under review.

The Imo State Executive Council has also directed the setting up of a committee to review the white paper on the Judicial panel of inquiry on lands and related matters, and were given 4 days to come up with recommendations for implementation.

On the celebration to mark Governor Hope Uzodimma’s One year in Office, The Council announced that it will be a harvest of Commissioning of project’s beginning from February 15, 2021 for the program of events. He stated that it will be a harvest to showcase quantum of achievements recorded by the Uzodimma led administration
