The unit commander in charge of Yangoji in Kwali area council, Aminu Shuaibu, has warned motorists to desist from committing traffic infractions while plying the busy Abuja-Lokoja road.
Speaking to our correspondent in his office Sunday the road safety officer appealed to motoring public to exercise caution at all times and observe the recommended 100km speed limit.
He reiterated the commitment to commence aggressive enforcement against route violations, noting that the corps would not fold its arms and allow motorists engaging on reckless driving on the route.
The unit commander enjoined members of the public, especially commercial drivers, to maintain their vehicles to prevent break down along the road with a view to making the road safer for other road users.
Shuaibu reiterated the commitment to conduct public enlightenment campaign to sensitise commercial drivers and Okada riders to always abide by the traffic rules and regulations.
The Yangoji FRSC head warned motorists plying the high way to desist from committing offences such as overloading, over-speeding, phone calls and use of one way.
He revealed that punitive measures would be used against traffic offenders without genuine driver’s license, failure to install good tyres, light system and trafficators.
