Gov Hope Uzodimma has remained the newly reconstructed akachi dual carriage road after Late Evan Enwerem of blessed memory.
Gov. Hope Uzodimma made the renaming during commissioning of Akachi dual carriage road officiated by President of the Senate, Dr Ahmed Lawan.
Late Chief Evans Enwerem was a former Governor of Imo state in 1991 during failed third republic era and Senate president during the fourth republic in 1999 respectively.
Gov. Hope Uzodimma noted that the choice of renaming the road after Late Evans Enwerem was to appreciate some founding fathers of the state for which Late Chief Evans Enwerem was one.
“We appreciate that some of our founding fathers did their best to lay foundation for the sustainable development of Imo state, it is indeed my privilege to recognize and honour the memory of His Excellency Senator Evan Enwerem, former Senate president and former Governor of Imo state, henceforth, the road shall be known and called Chief Evans Enwerem way”, Uzodimma stated.
According to Gov. Hope Uzodimma his Government has come to set things right and nothing can stop the 3R goverment from getting to it’s destination to make Imo a better place where basic amenities and service delivery shall not be lacking.
On his part Senate President while making his remark said that the project is people’s oriented and resources were utilitized with prudence, he added that Gov. Hope Uzodimma is a focus, reliable leader who can go any length to finish whatever he started and that Imo people will continue to have a better deal of the APC goverment.
He appealed to Imo people never to be deceived by unpatriotic politicians who may try to change the narrative of the reality on ground, Imo is working and will continue to work Ahmed Lawan declares.
