Govt suspends Emir, District Head

                            

Zamfara State Governor, Hon. Dr. Bello Mohammed Matawalle, yesterday suspended the Emir of Maru and the district head of Kanoma in the same local government area of the state.

Akelicious gathered that the suspensions may not be unconnected with armed banditry activities in the state, saying that the local government area has been notorious hideouts for the armed bandits especially, in Dansaudau area of the state.

However, the investigation carried out by this medium clearly revealed that the monthly allocations have been suspended by the state government.

According to a political analyst, Alhaji Ahmad Bakare, most of the Emirs were supposed to have been suspended as well since it has been made clear that the traditional leaders were the main brain behind the mass killings and kidnappings in the state.

“I know that the present governor is very much ready to end the insecurity situation in the state just as he has assured that security of the people of the state would be his Paramount priority,” he said.

He, however, advised the governor to dethrone all the traditional leaders in the state to allow peace to reign in the state.
