Hajiya Zuwaira Congratulates Nigerians On 59th Independence

Newly appointed Commisioner of Women affairs and Social development in Maiduguri Borno state, Hajiya Zuwaira Gambo, has called for more affectionate peace, unity and resourceful initiatives that will further sustain our democracy and give us better reasons to loud the celebration of our historic independence. She made this statement via a phone conversation with our correspondence this morning, while extending her congratulations to the people of Borno state as they join other states to celebrate Nigeria’s 59th years of Independence.

While speaking during her independence day congratulatory message in Maiduguri, the new Commisioner of Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Zuwaira Gambo commended the efforts of Borno State Governor, His Excellency Engr. Prof. Babagana Zulum mni, stressing that his administration and leadership in Borno state will continue to enhance the sheered benefits of an independent nation. She noted that the new administration of Governor Babagana Zulum, will further create better atmosphere for sustainable peace, unity and innovative strategies for development in the state.

She stressed that the essence of the nationwide celebration of Independence Day is to remind us of the journey so far, the ongoing struggle and our visionary prospects of leaving up to the responsibility of an independent nation. She called on all well meaning Nigerians, people of Borno State and especially women to see themselves as agents of change and tools for national development.

Hajiya Zuwaira Gambo captured the moments to also express her gratitude to the Governor of Borno State, for appointing her as an active agent in his administration. She promised to ensure the significant improvement of women affairs and social development in Borno state, under her watch and leadership in that sector.
