I Am A PDP Member, Come Rain, Come Shine – Hon. Amaka Ebenebe

A former Federal Commissioner and frontline aspirant for the position of southeast zone woman leader Hon Mrs Amaka Ebenebe has called on the PDP womenfolk to pray for the party and leaders in positions of authority at all times.

This appeal was predicated on the need for divine intervention as key to accessing the special grace of God in party administration and other political activities, according to her. The meeting which was convened to formally inform the women about her aspiration was well attended by key stakeholders of the women wing.

Amaka Ebenebe was accompanied to the party secretariat Udoka Estate by Dr Ego Akabogu, Dame Princess Esom Mwafor-Orizu, Hon Ojo Obika, Lolo Ify Abunyie, Dr Rosé Nwankwo and Enyi Chinwe Onuora. Other members of the delegation were Hon Pandolla Okwuosa, Umenyiora Chinwendu, Benson Mobile, Arthur Okoye, among other personalities.

While addressing the women leaders, Amaka Ebenebe recalled that she has managed strategic offices judiciously as part of her credentials for the task ahead. She highlighted her 5-year experience as Anambra State representative at the Federal Character Commission in the past, whereby she facilitated employment for many Anambra citizens.

According to Mrs Ebenebe, they were 36 federal commissioners at that time which comprised of only 3 women amongst whom she was actually the youngest, but she was able to make remarkable impact with a combination of her experience, mindset and the grace of God. This gave her the opportunity to lobby committee members across the commission and was able to secure employment for over 300 citizens.

Mrs Ebenebe expressed willingness to use the opportunity to impact lives, given that she never dreamt of such position in the first place but the special grace of God seems to be propelling the process to fruition, and that is obviously not without a purpose. She stated that God has remembered the women of the zone and their families considering her lofty plans and firm decision to ensure fairness and justice in any undertaking, allocation or recommendations going forward.

The former commissioner expressed satisfaction over the personality and conduct of the state woman leader Comr Justina Nwafor whom she described as a woman with enormous grace. She made it clear that things has taken a positive turn since the appointment of the state woman leader who has shown capacity in not only mobilizing women at all levels but also tact and patience in managing them.

The Amazons in her entourage took turns to extol the virtues of the former commissioner whom they supported massively with logistics for the meeting, as she assured the women leaders that PDP remains her party come rain, come shine.

The state woman leader Comr Justina Nwafor expressed gratitude to the aspirants and her entourage and urged the women leaders to borrow a leaf from her leadership potentials and inspirational disposition about life and politics. The LGA women leaders also expressed appreciation to the aspirant in their separate statements.
