Norwich Goal keeper Tim Krul has launched an attack at Iheanacho over his unsportsmanlike behavior during the weekend EPL match against Norwich.
During the game in the first half, Iheanacho choose to continue play despite the fact the the Canaries knocked the ball out of play so that Emiliano Buendia could receive treatment and they expected to receive it back after.
This didn’t go down well with Tim Krul or Brendan Rodgers who took him off the pitch immediately after the incident.
“He’s been in football long enough, he knows exactly what happened. The boy should have known better. We’ve seen this over the years, it’s just not possible,” he told Telegraph.co.uk.
“Everyone in football knows that was a clear case of someone being injured and we needed them to get looked at. He decided just to play like normal and nobody was even attacking him. I don’t know what he was thinking.”
Iheanacho has been on the high side in the past few weeks after an impressive performance in the last three EPL games.
Iheanacho has been involved in four goals in three matches in EPL and could be in the line up for Leicester City as they pay a visit to Everton in a Carabao Cup tie at the Goodison park.
The cup tie is a quarter final match and which ever club wins the match joins Aston Villa in the semi-finals.
