If You Kill Igbos, You Have Killed My Political Career – Senator Abaribe

Nigerian law maker, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe has joined a growing list of prominent Nigerian to react over the recent spate of attacks in the South East region of Nigeria. 

Senator Abaribe who represens Abia South Senatorial District in the national assembly has called for an end to the killing of Igbo. 

Abaribe who was reacting over the recent killings that took place in Imo State yesterday, said his political career is under threat.

According to the outspoken Senator, if the killing of igbos continues, his career as a politician will end because he will not have anybody to represent at the end. 

“If you kill Igbos, you have killed my political career because who am I going to represent in the senate?” Abaribe is quoted as saying on Sunday. 

He further explained that the government of the day is putting his career under threat because of his strong criticism.

“This government has been threatening to kill my political career if I don’t stop criticising them.”

He went further to say that the life of his people is more precious to him than his political career.
