Imo State Govt Holds Prayer Summit As Gov. Uzodimma Sues For Peace And Tolerance


It was an atmosphere of prayers and sober reflection yesterday in Imo State as Imo people gather in prayer for peace and prosperity of the state.

The none denominational Prayer Summit which was held at Heroes Square Owerri, had in attendance people across the State and party lines.

Addressing the congregation, Gov. Hope Uzodimma noted that the Prayer Summit was necessitated by the victory recorded by State during the challenges of insecurity which engulfed the State recently, adding that God saw the State through during the challenging moments.

He said”, I have always preached peace because the only way we can develop the State is if we have the enabling environment and no environment will be enabling if there is no peace. So we pray to the the almighty God to restore peace in our land, Uzodimma stated.

According to Gov. Uzodimma, the 3R mantra of his administration would only be actualized in a peaceful atmosphere.

He appealed to Imo people to embrace peace so as to enjoy the opportunities that comes with it.

Gov. Hope Uzodimma assured Imo people that his administration would continue to leverage on the relative peace in the state to provide dividends of democracy.
