Abia State Indigene residents in Kano state of northern Nigeria, have lauded Senator Theodore Orji representing Abia central district in the Senate and Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, for their developmental strides in various constituencies.
The Abia indigenes resident in Kano State, said the former Abia Governor and the Assembly Speaker have invested in ensuring peace, progress and prosperity in the State, through quality legislations and constituency projects, and generally lifting the people’s standard of living.
They extolled the duo for sponsoring people oriented bills in the National Assembly that has positively impacted the lives of the citizenry and beyond.
While further lauding the duo for their robust performances, the leader of the delegation, Chief Okoro Okwara honoured Senator Theodore Orji and Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji with award for excellent performances.
The Association of Abia Indigenes residents in Kano State, also presented the Senator representing Abia Central Senatorial District, Chief Theodore Ahamefule Orji CON with a prestigious Award of Recognition for his quality representation of the people at the National Assembly and touching the lives of the people through scholarship awards, building of schools and health centres, provision of transformers to communities among other constituency projects he has embarked upon.
They commended the former Abia Governor for his youth empowerment as well as his decision to retire from active politics in 2023 and support the younger ones.
Respondent after receiving the awards on before the duo, the Chief of Staff to the Speaker, Mazi Kenneth Ezeigbo who represented them, thanked the Abia State Indigenes residents in Kano state for the honour and urged them to sustain their unflinching supports to the Abia leaders as they worked unrelentingly to consolidate on their tremendous achievements scattered across their various constituency and Senatorial district in the state.
Meanwhile, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Abia State, Chief Innocent Nwachukwu, has commended the Speaker of the State House of Assembly for the ongoing construction of Ibeku Mini stadium at Isieke Umuahia Ibeku.
Nwachukwu who spoke with DAILY POST on Wednesday, said the Speaker has made indelible marks in the areas of Infrastructures, youth development, health, education and so many to mention.
The PDP Stalwart further canvassed supports for the Abia Speaker from the constituents to enable him do more for the people.
Nwachukwu however called on the people of Umuahia clans particularly of Ibeku extraction, to cooperation with the contractors executing work on the Ibeku Mini Stadium to enable them in actualizing the infrastructural project.
