Ize-Iyamu's bail condition to be revoked, as his absence in court stalls N700M fraud trial

The absence in court of the supposed candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), for the September 2020, Edo State governorship election, Pst Osagie Ize-Iyamu has reportedly stalled the trial of the fraud case instituted against him and four other defendants by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The trial, which was supposed to have continued today, after the trial judge had ruled last week that the defendants had a valid case to answer, had to be adjourned to the 7th of July, 2020 due to the absence of Ize-Iyamu in court today.

Recall that it had been widely reported previously that the bail conditions granted Ize-Iyamu may be revoked due to his attempts to stall the trial process every step of the way. His absence in court today and seeming disregard for court processes have also increased this possibility, dramatically.
