May 29: Umahi Begins Disengagement Of Appointees

Ahead of May 29 transition day, Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi, has begun official disengagement of his political appointees.

Governor Umahi whose second tenure starts on May 29, 2019, on Wednesday morning dissolved over 560 Senior Technical Assistants (STAs) and Technical Assistants (TAs).

Also dissolved were coordinators of 64 development centre and all the management committee members as well as chairmen and members of Boards.

Umahi who said the disengagement took effect from May 1, 2019, directed the affected political office holders to hand over all official documents and property in their possession to the chairmen of their local government areas and to the secretary to the state government, respectively.

The disengagement was contained in a statement signed by the Principal Secretary to the governor, Hon. Clement A Nweke.
