Few months back, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Enugu family, dutifully embarked on the inauguration of newly created units and zones according to pattern. The inauguration has steadily been carried out in diverse places on weekly basis across the State.
Encouraging successes recorded from this exercise stem from the resilient activeness of the Enugu Mobilization Team. This department is saddled with the responsibility of creating additional units and zones of IPOB families, more especially within the rural communities. The Enugu State Mobilization Department is ably directed by Mazi Egwuatu Chukz and has remained relentless since inception. Successes so far recorded are as a result of the committment and sacrifices of the team’s membership just few months after take off. Most communities and local government areas within the State have been reached and these include: Obioma community in Udi local government area, six communities within Nsukka local government area, Isiuzor local government area, Nkanu-West and Nkanu-East local government areas, Enugu Urbago in Enugu-South as well as Enugu-East local government area.
There has really been a tremendous success in the establishment of additional family units in Nkanu-West local government area within a couple of weeks. Six big units are currently being mobilized for inauguration across diverse locations within the local government area even as some outstanding units await action. The mobilization team is strenuously working as these family units are conscientiously being nurtured in line with the standard of the IPOB global family.
Recently established units and zone:
* On Thursday 8th August 2019, Amuri units were created with coordinators and mobilizers appointed to enhance coordination, awaiting official inauguration.
* On Thursday 29th August 2019, Amodu – Awkunanaw community was mobilized and duly inaugurated.
* On Tuesday 13th August 2019, Obe community was mobilized and subsequently inaugurated.
* On Saturday 24th August 2019, Ugboawka road was successfully inaugurated as autonomous units.
* Before end of August 2019, Ozalla-Nkanu was equally inaugurated.
* On Thursday 12th September 2019, Onitsha-Agu Akpugo was successfully inaugurated.
The joy of it all, is that these units have large number of membership as the least amongst them accounts for sixty eight (68) persons. However, the expected number of membership within a unit, is forty (40). The Enugu State Coordinator has already put them on notice that in the nearest future, more units will be carved out from amongst them. There are several places that have been touched in Nkanu-West though, but not included at the time of filing in this report. Numerous locations yet begging for IPOB families’ establishment abound as Biafra freedom remains the only tenable option every sane Biafran presently dreams about.
It should be stated here that in all these aforementioned inaugurations, members of the Enugu State executive and the State Coordinator himself, have been exceptionally outstanding in their supports. They ensured that laid down protocols were adequately complied with. Necessary documentations and materials were duly handed over to the newly established families through their executives. The media volunteer department was readily on hand to carry out required duties.
The mobilization department is pro-actively working to ensure that available resources are properly channeled as provided by the IPOB family members of the State. Rapid growth is envisioned in the areas by reason of the encouraging developments so far recorded.
