Nose Masks Should Be Made Compulsory – Kalu To Fed Govt

Dr Emeka Kalu advised Federal Government to impose wearing of nose masks to be a compulsory measure against Corona Virus while Nigeria as a country prepares to relax Lockdown.
Nigeria prepares to relax its lockdown from Monday just like Ghana, who is the first African country to relax its lockdown, the country continues to record more COVID-19 cases than before.
However, the lockdown imposed on major cities like Lagos, Abuja and Ogun will be relaxed from tomorrow, President Muhammadu Buhari announced last Monday. Instead of the lockdown, the president announced a night curfew (8 p.m. to 6 a.m.) as well as other safety measures.
He further urges Federal Government to follow the footsteps Ghana followed in controlling corona virus, of which Non-essential businesses has be allowed to open while the wearing of nose masks has been strictly adhered to. And there are still bans on large gatherings and schools has remained closed.
But lockdowns are not just a challenge for people in low-income countries dominated by the informal sector. In the United States there have been protests by citizens in states including Texas and Michigan asking for their states to be reopened.
