Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council, OYC, worldwide, an Igbo socio-cultural organization, on Tuesday, called on Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo state to thread with caution and not to repeat the attitude of Rivers Governor, Nyesom Wike last year at Obigbo local government area of the state.
Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, the OYC acting President, who made the call during a telephone interview with Akelicious on Tuesday, decried the wanton destruction of lives and property in the South East between men of Nigeria Army and pro Biafra groups, further calling on the Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi, to look inwardly and work with critical Stakeholders to allow justice prevail in many recorded cases of extra judicial killings in the state.
The Igbo organization also called on Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi to seek for a permanent solution on the crisis rocking Oruku & Umuode Nkanu community in Enugu east Senatorial district of Enugu State.
Ohanaeze youths warned the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, not to set the country on fire, and reminded them to toe the path of diagoue and peace in their demands.
The apex Igbo youth organization, however, called on Ndigbo to remain steadfast and undetered on our demand for creation of additional states and as well as our demand to occupy the nation’s number one seat(Presidency) in 2023.
According to OYC, “We insist on our demand for equity, justice and fairness by zoning the Nigeria President to South east. The Igbo nation have stake a lot for progress and unity of this country hence the need for all sections of Nigeria irrespective of political, religion and tribal affiliations”.
