There is confusion in Oyo state over the judgement delivered by the Appeal court on the governorship election in the state.
The Appeal court delivered a judgement that has been interpreted differently by both APC and PDP camps.
While APC said, the Appeal court ruled in their favour, the PDP is claiming that the Appellate court upheld the victory of gov Makinde.
However, the Appeal court ruled in favour of APC’s governorship candidate Adebayo Adelabu by resolving all the grounds of appeal in his favour but refused to reverse the ruling of the tribunal which declared Makinde rightful winner of March 9, governorship election.
The Appeal court; did not sack Makinde, did not order for a rerun, did not order INEC to issue certificate of return to APC candidate. But agreed with APC candidate in all counts.
In Oyo state, both APC and PDP are jubilating.
