Uche Nwabuisi, a prominent member of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Abia State, has commended the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Chinedum Orji, for his unrelenting and steady efforts to ensure dividends of democracy get to the doorsteps of people of the state.
Nwabuisi, also applauded the Assembly Speaker for sustaining friendship which spreads beyond political affiliations.
He maintained that Hon Orji has showed exemplary leadership which has also greatly impacted the lives of the people, stressing that the gains made so far by the current People’s Democratic Party led government by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu is attributed to the strong support and cooperation of the house.
The PDP chieftain, who spoke during an interactions with journalists in Umuahia, Sunday, also asserted that the Abia Speaker’s speech during last Saturday Thanksgivings service held in Seven Days Adventist Church, Aba, in honour of the Governor who few weeks ago, recovered from coronavirus infection, has rubbished the alleged plan of political jobbers within the government to destabilize the State through embers of discord and rancour.
Nwabuisi who described the Speaker, Chinedum Orji, as symbol of peace and good leadership, advised the number one lawmaker in the State not to deter in his quality leadership despite the continued and failed efforts of unscrupulous elements to cast aspersion on him, family, political associates and massive supporters within and outside Abia State.
The PDP Stalwart who doubles also as founder and General President of Mount Zion Youth Structure, also admonished the State Governor to caution some overzealous party members serving in the government so as not to sabotage and betray the goals already set in place by his administration.
Recall on Saturday that the Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, had told Governor Okezie Ikpeazu that the Almighty God has disappointed all those who wished him evil.
He urged the Governor to block his ears against divisive and destructive gossips peddled by favour seekers and continue to do that which is for the betterment of the State.
His words, “You said here that there were those that wished you disappeared; also remember that there are those who never wished you become Governor, but here you are today, you are the Governor.
“What happened to you can happen to any human being, but the difference between you and other people is that you have a good heart”, the Speaker said.
“All those who wished you death, will be disappointed when you will hand over power peacefully by the 29th of May, 2023 and still wax stronger in all your endeavours beyond then”.
