Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State have accused members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of being desperate for power.
They said the February presidential election had exposed PDP office seekers and their supporters, adding that APC would not give them any opportunity.
The APC Senatorial candidate for Anambra Central, Sylvester Okonkwo, and another party chieftain, Modestus Umenzekwe, said the PDP’s scheme would be in vain.
Umenzekwe said the achievements of President Muhammadu Buhari in Anambra and Southeast had led PDP to such jealousy and desperation.
According to him, PDP and its candidates wanted to return to power to start siphoning the country’s treasure, which this administration had been trying to put in order since 2015.
Umenzekwe said no right-thinking person would vote for another party considering the work Buhari and his government did in the state; from Zik’s mausoleum, second Niger Bridge, among others.
Okonkwo said he was going to the red chamber to provide for his people.
He regretted the lack of adequate representation from those who had gone there, except Dr. Chris Ngige, accusing them of looking after their pockets without considering the people who voted for them.
