The founder of the prestigious Las Vegas Pain Management Institute Nevada, renowned medical expert, philanthropist extraordinary and frontline PDP aspirant for Anambra 2021 gubernatorial election Dr Godwin Maduka (Okosisi Orumba) met with key stakeholders of the party today in his hometown Umuchukwu.
The epoch making gathering according to Okosisi Orumba was to appreciate the party faithfuls that mobilized themselves in their various council areas and gave him a befitting reception during the just concluded tour of the 21 LGAs in the state.
The medical guru expressed deep concern about the kind gesture accorded to him by the party officials which he said was the reason he convened yet another meeting to celebrate the Christmas season with them today.
Speaking further, Dr Maduka hailed the state chairman of the party Hon Sir Ndubisi Nwobu (Obuka Awka) for his humility, resilience and resourcefulness in ensuring that the party is intact and very functional, considering his enviable achievements since he was returned elected till date. He noted that the meeting was convened specially for merriment, hence there is no need for any form of campaign.
The state chairman Hon Nwobu in his remarks stated that he has been hearing about Dr Maduka’s investments and achievements, including the 17 storey international medical research centre but was actually thrilled to behold some of them today.
Obuka commended Dr Maduka and reiterated his administration’s commitment in ensuring a level playing ground for all party aspirants while imploring the good people of Umuchukwu to not behave like the present ruling community that has schemed out other communities by personalizing governance against all known democratic procedures.
The action chairman lamented over the poor state of infrastructure under the leadership of the outgoing All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) which he urged the good people of Anambra State to address during the forthcoming ballot.
However, he seized the opportunity to wish Anambrarians a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year which he declared as the year of victory and end of suffering through genuine democracy, for PDP as a democratic party and Ndi Anambra in general.
