Former Kaduna Central senator, Shehu Sani, has accused the North, and South West parts of Nigeria of tolerating some of the wrongs going on in the country.
While he accused the North of doing so because their own, President Muhammadu Buhari, is in power, he said the reason the South West is doing same was because they are expecting one of theirs to be the next president of the country.
Sani stated this in a post on his official Twitter handle on Monday.
He said, “The North’s tolerance to wrong is because one of their own is in power; The South West tolerance to wrong is because they are expecting one of theirs to be next in power.”
The response of a former Lagos State governor and national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, to the killing of Mrs. Funke Fasoranti Olakunrin, daughter of Afenifere leader, Chief Ruben Fasoranti, by suspected herdsmen has been condemned by some Nigerians, who accused him of trying not to hit the nail on the head because of his alleged ambition to become Nigeria’s next President.
Likewise, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s responses to issues like the now suspended Ruga, alleged Islamisation and Fulanisation agenda, among others, have been criticized by some Nigerians. His critics claim he has refused to see anything wrong in all those issues because of alleged move to succeed Buhari.
