The E-Payment Of Workers Salaries, The BVN And The Position Of The Imo State Govt

The Imo State Government has once more expressed it’s commitment to the e-payment of workers’ salaries and other entitlements.

Every bank user in Nigeria has a Bank Verification Number (BVN), same with all civil servants.

The BVN has become a prerequisite tool used by the Imo State Government for the servicing it’s various financial obligations to workers & Pensioners.

This to check the fraudulent processes which has bedeviled the financial and payment systems of the government over the years.

A situation where some heads of agencies, departments and parastatals of government are reluctant with the submission of the BVNs attached the Bank accounts of the staff they head is worrisome and calls for concern.

The Government of Imo State led by Senator Hope Uzodimma is determined never to be blackmailed into doing the wrong things.

Some have complied and have gotten their salaries paid. Others are still testing the resolve of the Government.

Monday, 18th May, 2020 is the deadline!

No BVN, No salaries – This is the position of the Imo State Government as it concerns the payment of Salaries.
