Unknown gunmen have stormed the Yolde Pate community, in the Yola south local government area of Adamawa State and whisked away from the wife and son of a police officer.

The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO in the state, Sulaiman Nguroje, who confirmed the attack said the police officer’s residence is close to the Yolde Pate Correctional Center, but unfortunately, there was no attempt to repeal the attack by the security personnel attached to the centre.

Nguroje said the police officer was in Abuja on a special assignment when the incident occurred.

Similarly, the PPRO also confirmed the abduction, for the second time, of an elder brother of the state’s majority leader in the house of assembly, Hammantukur Yetisuri.

He was abducted from his home in Jada Mbulo by unknown gunmen.

The residents of these areas say, their communities have been under incessant kidnappings and armed robbery in recent times.
