
Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFFC), the Independent Corrupt Practices (ICPC), the US Embassy, British High Commission and other anti-graft agencies, alleging that he diverted public funds up to N12 billion from 2012-2016. Dino Melaye also threatened that he will protest to the EFFC Headquarters, if they did not act on his petition against Yahaya Bello.
In an exclusive interview with BBC NEWS PIDGIN, Governor Yahaya Bello has reacted to the petition filed against him by Dino Melaye. He said that the World Bank has rated Kogi State as the best in Nigeria, in terms of financial prudence, accountability, transparency and management.
He said that he when the World Bank or serious human beings tell him about corruption, he will listen, but if a clown talks, he will keep mute and throw it to the dustbin. He disclosed that if World Bank, can rate his government as the best in Nigeria, then how will Dino Melaye talk and he will pay attention.
