The problem of insecurity in our dear State and different parts of the Country is indeed a concern to all and sundry. It has deeply affected the economy and still poses danger to our survival as a people.
In his view a frontline guber aspirant Dr. Godwin Maduka believes that the best way to wrestle this problem of insecurity to the ground is by engaging our young ones. If the youths are not properly engaged and empowered, it will be very difficult to achieve a crime free State irrespective of large sums apportioned to security.
Dr Godwin Maduka believes that if we pay more attention to the dreams and aspirations of our young ones by providing platforms that will help them thrive and further develop themselves we must have dealt a heavy blow on insecurity.
As an individual Dr. Godwin Maduka through his ‘life saving foundation’ has taken many youths out of the streets of Anambra State through his empowerment and scholarship programmes. Today most of them are not just useful to their families but also useful to the society at large.
Dr. Godwin Maduka intends to continue this path of engaging the youths, by getting them fully involved in governance. This of course will help curb insecurity in our state, when the mind is busy it seldom entertain negative thoughts.
According to Dr. Godwin Maduka “if by the grace of God I am elected to serve the good people of Anambra State my priority will be to engage and empower the youths .Even if we spend all our budgets in fighting insecurity, it will not stop, all we have to do is to take our young ones out of the street, it’s our responsibility to plan for our young ones”
