Nigerian actor and film-maker, Abdullateef Adedimeji and his wife, Moโ€™ Bimpe Adedimeji, have won the Best Indigenous Language (West Africa) for their movie, Lisabi: The Uprising, at the ongoing 11th edition of the Africa Magic Viewersโ€™ Choice.

The Adedimejis, appearing in their chic and luxury-designed attire, dedicated the award to God. They appreciated the team for their hard work and persistence.

The people of Egba in the 1800s suffered from Alaafin and the warriors of Oyo, who terrorised their land and took their farm produce. Lisabi, a farmer in Egba land, rose to the challenge and fortified his fellow farmers to dare the Ilari Oyo, who was an albatross.
