Bright Okpocha, the well-known comedian better known as Basketmouth, has announced his intention to retire from comedy in five years.
Reaching the age of 50, he plans to focus on building his own empire and exploring various areas of the entertainment industry.
Despite giving up a music career in the past to pursue comedy,
Basketmouth has always had a lingering interest in music and intends to return to it once he completes his final five years of comedy shows.
“In five years, I will be 50 years old. I would have moved on to something else that would take up a lot of my time. I wish to put my all into it.
“I am confident that I will be able to combine all of my interests and completely enjoy films, TV shows, and concerts. Doing all of these things and still giving comedy your best will be difficult,” he said.
