Tinubus 2024 budget

The lawmaker representing Boki/Ikom Federal Constituency of Cross River State, Hon Victor Abang, has expressed confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT) will ensure the proper implementation of the 2024 budget after its passage by the National Assembly as a way of fulfilling his promise of renewed hope to Nigerians.

President Tinubu last Wednesday presented the 2024 Appropriation Bill (Budget Proposal) of 27.5 trillion naira to the joint session of the National Assembly, tagged ‘Budget for the Renewed Hope’.

Different reactions have continued to trail the budget presentation with some describing the appropriation bill as deceitful, hopeless and designed for impoverished Nigerians, while others believed it was well packaged to fast-track economic growth and tackle the myriad of challenges bedevilling the country to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people.

Hon. Abang in a media chat, said: “Quite frankly, the 2024 budget of renewed hope presented to the joint session of the National Assembly by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will hopefully stabilize all our micro and macroeconomic indicators positively. Based on the assumptions, it is a very realistic and implementable budget. Nigerians should trust in the capacity of the President to ensure a judicious implementation of the budget for the good of the country. The budget of renewed hope presented to NASS by the President is a clear indication of the fact that he is truly determined to address the various issues confronting us as a nation. And so, we must support him to succeed in the actualization of his good plans for the country.”
