Umunnem Ndi Anambra North na Ndi Anambra,
As we enter 2024, I wish you all a Happy and Prosperous New Year. I thank the God Almighty for guiding and sustaining our collective journey thus far; and for keeping us ever-strong and focused as a people of diverse religion, interest.
No doubt, 2023 has been a year of heightened activity in our individual, social, economic and political lives as Nigerians. We witnessed our Country struggle through tough times due to security challenges and bad economic policies. In our homes we have struggled through the economic realities that have become so pervasive. Yet, despite all of these, Umunnem, you must know: with your help, things are about to get better and must get better.
As we move into 2024, we come into a year of endless and greater possibilities. We must view the faults of the past as foregone days of lessons that we have learned from, and see the future as a chance to attain greatness.
In this new year, we must set ourselves to the task of moving forward with the goal of creating a New and United Anambra North and Nigeria that our sons and daughters can be proud of; a Nigeria that works for the betterment of the many, as opposed to working for the greed and excesses of the few.
We must see this new year as a new opportunity to redefine our collective bond as Ndi Anambra North and Ndi Anambra, and work to make our Senatorial Zone and State a peaceful State for all, listen to the people who elected us, and most importantly, fight for and on behalf of them.
As we celebrate this new year, we must also remember our brothers and sisters in Plateau state and Southern Kaduna, who are being murdered on daily basis for no reason and also Our Service men and women on the frontlines who fight for us; who fight to keep us all safe. We must remember our internally displaced countrymen and women, who have had to flee their homes in search of security that could not be found at home and all those who are still prisoners.
