A second-year student at Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka, known as Chioma, allegedly poured hot water on the president of her hostel, identified as Mark. According to a Facebook source, Valentine Mbadugha, Chioma also stabbed him during the altercation.
The disagreement between the two students reportedly began over cleanliness in their school hostel.
The incident took place on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Twins Fall Lodge in Ifite-Awka.
Chioma reacted aggressively when reminded by Mark to do her part in maintaining the hostel’s cleanliness.
While details of the attack remain unclear, Mbadugha stated that Mark was promptly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The spokesperson for the state police command, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, was unable to confirm the incident at the time of reporting.
