The Solid Golden Ladies Group, Anambra State, yesterday affirmed their support for the People’s Democratic Party(PDP).
The coordinators of the women group in the 21 Local Government Areas of the State met and held crucial meeting at the Atiku/Okowa Campaign Office Dikeora House, Awka, Anambra State where they reiterated their commitment to the party.
The founder of the Group Chief Mrs Uju Edochie who also chaired the meeting said they met to assess the position of the party, especially in Anambra State and to deliberate on ways to shore up support in order to advance the gains of the party.
Chief Edochie also said that the group is committed to the political aspiration of the party’s presidential flag bearers in the February 25, 2023, general elections, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, insisting that the fortunes of the country would have had at least an uptick in the positive ring if the PDP were in power.
She expressed regret at the parlous state of affair in the country and urged Nigerians not to lose hope, but to work hard to ensure that the wrong of the past is corrected in the nick of time. She called for support for the PDP in Anambra State and promised that the SGLG will work hard to deliver the party in future elections.
The Solid Golden Ladies Group was an association formed to support and promote Atiku/Okowa presidential bid during the last election, and it worked hard to establish its political relevance in all the 21 Council Areas of the State.
During the meeting, the founder of the group, Chief Mrs Uju Edochie , thanked them , gave them message of hope , encouraged them to continue being steadfast and calm under PDP , keep supporting and praying for their principal , Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa and Alhaji Atiku Abubarka .
