The traditional ruler of Ewu kingdom in Ughelli south local government area of Delta state who was on Thursday declared wanted alongside seven others over the killing of 17 soldiers in Okuama which is under his kingdom has said he is innocent.
He made the disclosure while speaking with Galaxy news crew in an exclusive interview at an undisclosed location, while reacting to his being declared wanted.
According to the monarch, he was shocked to see it in the news that he is among seven persons declared wanted
Speaking further, he stressed that the Delta state government is aware of his position as being labelled wanted came as a surprise to him.
It will be recalled that four officers and thirteen soldiers were on May 14th killed by youth in Okuama, which led to the declaring of seven suspects including the monarch wanted as the gallant soldiers were laid to rest on Wednesday at the national cemetery in Abuja.
