The Nigerian Football Federation has reportedly banned Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen and declared its intention to use the Victor Osimhen case as a deterrent to prevent other players from publicly criticising or disparaging national football heroes and legends.

According to a member of the NFF board, Osimhen would be used as an example to prevent others from doing the same in future.

According to the source, “He (Victor Osimhen) crossed the line with his outburst even when Finidi called him to explain he still didnโ€™t deem it fit to retract his statements. We wonโ€™t condone that and after the Salah break, we will sit on the issue. I can tell you he wonโ€™t be in the team until he says sorry for his actionsโ€, he concluded.

  1. Is Osimhen going to loose any sleep from this your ban? Before the end of this week, you will hear the same NFF denying that they did not use the word, Ban on Osimhen. Instead of focusing on how to qualify the country for the next world Cup, these busy body members of the NFF are busy insulting Osimhen. You guys will definitely beg Osimhen, when the chips are dawn!
