Nigerian music icon 2Baba has met with Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, Christopher Gwabin Musa, to discuss how music can be used to counter violent narratives among young Nigerians.
During the meeting, the award-winning singer, alongside his strategic team, presented a culture-driven initiative designed to use music as a tool for youth reorientation. The initiative aims to promote positive values and transform entertainment into a platform for social impact.
According to 2Baba, the initiative seeks to inspire young people through creative expression while discouraging harmful ideologies and negative influences.
He noted that with more than 150 million young people in Nigeria, many remain vulnerable to destructive narratives if they are not properly guided.
The singer explained that using music and culture to engage young people can spark meaningful conversations, empower emerging talents, and channel the energy of Nigerian youth toward productive activities and nation-building.
