The Jigawa StatePolice Command has announced the arrest of 27 suspects in connection with various criminal offences, including armed robbery, kidnapping, theft and drugs.
The suspects were arrested in different parts of the state between June 4 and June 12, 2024.
The police spokesman in the state, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, said the suspects were arrested with various exhibits, including a fabricated pistol, three motorcycles, a tricycle, a cow, three sheep, three handsets, an iron rod, and the sum of N792,000.
He said the police also recovered a large quantity of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp and other drugs.
