The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has called on Nigerians to speak more positively about Nigeria and project the country in good light.
Clarifying that he was not suggesting that Nigerians do not have the right to criticize government, he stressed that it is important to amplify Nigeria’s many positives instead of focusing only on negatives.
He made the remarks in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on Sunday when he represented President Bola Tinubu at a meeting with the members of the Nigerian Community in Ethiopia, on the sidelines of the 38th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union (AU) Heads of State and Government.
“Patriotism is key. You cannot run d%wn your country and expect others to come and invest in your country. It’s not going to happen,” the Minister said.
