The Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, has announced the nomination of six individuals for appointment as commissioners in the state executive council. The nominees, whose names have been forwarded to the Enugu State House of Assembly for confirmation, are:
- Engr. Benjamin Osita Okoh
- Prof. Benedeth Ekwutosi Okoli
- Eyinna Franklin Ogbonna
- Dr. Samuel Ogbu-Nwobodo
- Prof. George Ugwu
- Ben Collins Ndu Jr.
The announcement was made on Thursday, July 17, 2025, via a public service statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia.
In a related development, Governor Mbah has also approved the appointment of Dr. Godwin Anigbo, mni, as the new Head of Service for Enugu State. The appointment takes immediate effect.
The appointments are part of the administration’s continued effort to strengthen governance and ensure efficient service delivery across the state.
The newly nominated commissioners and the Head of Service are expected to bring a wealth of experience and professionalism to their roles in supporting Governor Mbah’s transformation agenda.
