
Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, today paid a solidarity visit to Hon. Jude Ezenwafor, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for Anambra State, who was recently shot by unknown gunmen in Abuja.
The visit took place in Abuja, where Hon. Ezenwafor is currently receiving medical care. Governor Bala Mohammed was accompanied by the PDP Acting National Chairman, Ambassador Umar Iliya Damagum; Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Y. Suleiman; Bauchi State PDP Chairman, Pharm. Hamza Samaila Burga; and Senior Special Assistant on Strategy and Special Duties, Eric Anyamene.

Governor Mohammed expressed deep concern over the incident and empathized with Hon. Ezenwafor, assuring him of the PDP’s continued support as he recovers and prepares for the upcoming Anambra State governorship election in November 2025. He prayed for his quick and full recovery.

In response, the Anambra State PDP Chairman, Hon. Chidi Chidebe, thanked Governor Bala Mohammed and the delegation for their visit. He also expressed appreciation to Acting National Chairman Umar Damagum for his steadfast leadership, noting that the party in Anambra remains united and resilient.
