In a stunning revelation, controversial investigative journalist and social commentator, Dr. Kemi Olunloyo, has reignited conversations surrounding the tragic death of Nigerian artist Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, claiming that the late singer’s demise was premeditated and orchestrated within the entertainment industry.
Dr. Olunloyo alleged that celebrities including Iyabo Ojo, Tonto Dikeh, Zlatan Ibile, and Bella Shmurda, alongside unnamed members of a private WhatsApp group, had prior knowledge of Mohbad’s death, suggesting it was a ritualistic sacrifice.
“Iyabo Ojo, Tonto Dikeh and everyone in that WhatsApp group along with Zlatan and Bella Shmurda had PRIOR KNOWLEDGE that Mohbad was going to be kpaied. He was SACRIFICED!” Olunloyo posted on social media. “They must be interrogated. Each and every one of them was complicit even if it means ARREST!”
She further referenced actor and filmmaker Yomi Fabiyi, stating that he had long maintained the position that Mohbad’s death was not accidental, aligning with her own independent investigation which she says was reviewed by Canadian and American journalists over a three-month period.
According to Olunloyo, the findings point to manslaughter resulting from a violent altercation, and not natural causes, as the public had been led to believe. She added that the autopsy was never genuinely intended, accusing authorities of deliberately frustrating justice.
“Mohbad’s kpai was organised in the industry. Autopsy was never the goal. The Nigerian police DID NOTHING,” she declared.
