Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has gifted Super Falcons forward Fransisca Ordega a cash reward of ₦50 million and a 3-bedroom apartment in recognition of her outstanding performance at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
Ordega, an indigene of Benue, played a key role in Nigeria’s triumph at the tournament. Governor Alia, while presenting the gifts, praised her for making the state and the nation proud.
The generous reward comes months after the Governor faced public backlash for empowering women in the state with wheelbarrows as part of a previous empowerment initiative.
