The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for Anambra State, Prince Dr. Nicholas Ukachukwu, has thrown a direct challenge to Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, urging him to make public his bank account balance a month before he assumed office and his current balance.
Ukachukwu, while addressing supporters ahead of the November 2025 election, said if Soludo’s pre-governorship account balance amounts to at least one percent of what he has earned in the private sector, he would withdraw from the race.
The APC candidate criticised Soludo’s record, alleging that the governor has never created jobs or employed anyone in his life, even as a public office holder. He contrasted this with his own track record, claiming to have created jobs across Nigeria, including employing expatriates and professors in his private businesses.
“A man who has never created any employment all his life, even as a governor, is challenging a world-class employer of labour like me,” Ukachukwu stated.

I’ll be sharing this with a few friends.
This made me rethink some of my assumptions. Really valuable post.
